The Fund for the promotion of the programme of neighbourhoods and urban areas of special attention is created as a financial instrument of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the rehabilitation and specific promotion of neighbourhoods and urban areas which, due to their characteristics, require special attention from the Administration, in accordance with the criteria established by this Law and the regulations that develop it.
