The purpose of this Law is to establish fundamental rules, criteria and mechanisms for the protection of the environment, so that people, as individuals and as members of society, live in a high-quality environment, in which health is protected and the development of their personalities is promoted. Environmental protection, a fundamental and integral part of the cultural and development process and policy, is implemented mainly through democratic programming.
